Stretching meadows, expanding skies

There spots galore, to rest one's eyes

Where one but stands, out in the rest

The cowherd has, his cattle graze

Like the morning sunshine bright

In plenty gives, sparkle and light

May so the festive season bring

Such bliss and joy; Happy Diwali!

Serene and calm, the lake below

From branches seen, that hang above

Thus matters not, what happens there

As life is bliss, when linked upstairs

On paths at noon, like spots of shade

To take some rest, and walk again

In trying times, its ways sublime

To take us through, comes help Divine!
